bowl
Renovation project for a standard apartment from the 1930s and change of its designation purpose to a recreational object - healthy nutrition cafe Bowl. Change in the object's functionality directly influences the forming of recreational and meal zones. A common ergonomic space was created by merging zones for eating and relaxation to challenge post-soviet system stereotypes. This project has social and health-promoting ideas as it foresees developing and producing new social groups. It also provides a new understanding of how to create urban cafes, their ecosystems, and their functionality. The primary design-forming feature of the project is a metal net construction that also functions as the cafe's dining place. The transparency of this construction does not overload the space and successfully combines the idea of healthy nutrition that should not overload guests' stomachs. There are also some interesting details in the cafe's interior, such as wallpapers that interpret soviet time wallpaper ornaments - as a heritage to an apartment that became Bowl now or a neat combination of stainless steel and natural marble. The amorphous form of mirrors balances out the strict lines of cafe design. The light concept combines Nulla spotlights and Infinito strips by David Groppi. The cafe offers balanced and healthy dishes in bowls, smoothies, and carefully selected coffee. We also created the venue's brand identity as a part of the general concept of the place.
