best way to cup coffee shop is located in a house, that was build from a royal brick in late 19th-early 20th century, near lvivska square. our platform was a narrow and deep room with arched openings with a total area of 57 m². the first floor has to go function. there are several seats on one side and the other side is where all coffee processes are organized in one line, without interfering with the movement of people, creating contact between the barista and the guest.
on the second floor we set up a table for 4 people and a group of tables with closer seats. we focused on the neat integration of the cafe into the historical environment, showing the texture of the old brickwork by removing its finish. lightning has different scenarios and empathizes the structure of the premise. gradient beam shows direction for the guests and separates processes in the room. a transparent glass door leading to the courtyard strengthens the cafe's connection with the city.
